EDUCATION FOR ALL
Our goal is to ensure that every
child in Nkuringo gets the chance to good education.
NVCDF was founded in 2016 to support vulnerable children in and around Nkuringo, a rural area in the Southwest of Uganda. It is a non-profit community-based organization that derives its funding through local and international well-wishers.
The NVCDF focuses its attention on orphaned children, children with disabilities, Batwa children, bright children and children from poverty-ridden families. To help these children realize their full potential, we provide sponsorships, scholastic materials, various workshops and economic strengthening of the vulnerable children’s households.
The NVCDF was founded by its present director Tomas Habanabakiza, who was born and raised in the Nkuringo conservation area.
MEET THE TEAM
The NVCDF team consists of volunteers from the Nkuringo area. Every one of us is dedicated to uplifting our community by giving special support and attention to those who need it most – our children.

Tomas Habanabakiza
Director & Founder
Having worked his way up from a poor orphan to a primary school teacher, Tomas knows all about the struggles of many families in Nkuringo to afford basic education for their children. Thus, he has reached out to the vulnerable children of his community for many years to help them get access to education and avoid the challenges and hardships he himself had to go through as a child.
OUR PARTNER
We are proud of our strong partnership with KUYAMBA – Kinderhilfe Uganda, an NGO from Germany. Over many years we have built a strong friendship and with the help of their donations we have been able to plan and realise many projects for the children of Nkuringo together.
